Apple iPhone 14 series launch is just days away, and we're getting a flood of new information about the device. A Twitter user (@duanrui1205) shared a video of the alleged iPhone 14 Pro unit, which shows significant changes, ahead of the September 7 launch event. To begin, the front panel features a new notch design in the shape of a 'i.' If this is correct, the pill-shaped cutout will most likely have face ID sensors, while the front hole-punch cutout will have a selfie camera sensor.
The rear camera module appears to be larger and more protruding on the back. The user demonstrated a purple-colored unit that turns blue in bright light. It's not clear how the user obtained this dummy unit. The iPhone 14 Pro specifications have not been revealed, but we have an idea thanks to a slew of leaks in the past.
Apple is expected to release four new iPhones this year, as it did last year and the year before. However, it was widely speculated that Apple would not release a new mini model. Instead, a 'Max' variant could be introduced. The iPhone 14 Max is said to have a larger display (6.7 inches) without the higher price of the Pro Max model. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to be part of the Pro lineup.
Both Pro smartphones are expected to include a new A16 bionic chipset and upgraded cameras. According to a leak, Apple will include a 48-megapixel camera sensor on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The pair may also provide longer battery life. A 120Hz display, a 12-megapixel selfie camera, and 5G connectivity with Qualcomm upgraded 5G modem are also key features.
In terms of pricing, more details are awaited.
