The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is still months away. Samsung next Galaxy S-series smartphone is expected to be launched in January or February 2023. We're about six months away from the rumoured launch, and some key details about the Galaxy S23 series have already leaked online.
The most recent rumour contains some important details about the processor selection for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will have a single processor variant worldwide, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for his Apple iPhone leaks. According to the analyst, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series globally, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is expected to be announced by Qualcomm in November or December 2022. Samsung is expected to be one of the first to adopt Qualcomm next-generation Snapdragon flagship mobile platform.
Three new models are expected to join the Galaxy S23 lineup. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are among them. The S-series flagships are typically launched with Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets. However, according to Kuo, the South Korean tech giant is not as confident in the Exynos 2300 SoC0 performance. As a result, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is likely to be used in the Galaxy S23 series.
The company is currently preparing for the August launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the two foldable smartphones.
