It appears that this year's iPhone will be more expensive than the iPhone 13 series, and those who have been waiting for the 2022 models may have to pay more even for the standard model. According to one analyst, the iPhone 14 series could cost $100 more than the iPhone 13 series, which would be a significant price increase.
According to Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives, people should be prepared for a price increase because production and component costs are rising for all consumer electronics makers, and Apple may decide to pass on the additional expense to customers by offering the iPhone 14 series at a higher price range.
"We believe a $100 price increase is coming for the iPhone 14," Dan, of Wedbush Securities, told The Sun. "Prices have been increasing across the whole supply chain, and Cupertino needs to pass these costs to the consumer on this launch," he added.
If this is the case, then there are chances that the cost of the iPhone 14 could increase by around $100 when compared with last year’s phones.
The iPhone 13 starting price of $1000. This basically means that the iPhone 14 could cost close to $1100. However, we do not anticipate the company raising the price by this much. According to the analyst, Apple may decide to stick with older price ranges, which may help the company sell more iPhone models.
There is a chance that the company will simply decide to raise the prices of the iPhone 14 Pro models, which will reportedly receive significant improvements in terms of design and camera. The new chipset is also expected in the Pro variants, but the standard model of the iPhone 14 series is not expected to receive significant upgrades in these areas. Apple is expected to hold its iPhone 14 event on September 13, so the launch is still some time away.
