On December 28, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones. According to a new report by Xiaomiui.net, the Xiaomi 12 family includes two 'Lite' branded models, the Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom. The publication has revealed key information about these smartphones.
Xiaomi 12 Lite specifications (rumored)
As per the publication, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is codenamed 'Taoyao' and its model number is L9 for short. Its global version with model number 2203129G and India version with 2203129i have recently appeared in the IMEI database.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite is expected to come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED Full HD display that offers 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device could sport a curved edge display like the China-exclusive Xiaomi Civi that debuted in September this year. The Xiaomi 12 Lite could be powered by either the Snapdragon 778G or the Snapdragon 780G. Its rear-facing triple camera unit could house a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 lens. It will be accompanied by a wide-angle lens and a macro camera.

Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom Specifications (rumoured)
The Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom is said to have the codename 'Zijin' and the shortened model number L9B. It is likely to arrive as a China-exclusive device. The reason behind this is that only the Chinese variant of the phone 2203129BC has been spotted on the IMEI database.
Leaked information reveals that the Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with curved edges and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It will come with Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 780G and a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 triple camera unit with wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite series is likely to look similar to the Xiaomi Civi handset. Based on its model numbers, it can be said that both the models may debut in March 2023. The lineup may come with Android 12 based MIUI 13 preinstalled.
