Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra render (Image: Let's Go Digital) |
Every smartphone enthusiast in the world awaits the launch of Samsung next line of flagship smartphones. Rumors so far have indicated that the Galaxy S22 series will debut in late January. In the buildup for the launch, several reports have indicated what to expect from the Galaxy S22 lineup. Although none has been officially confirmed. A recent picture leaked online has now changed that.
LetsGoDigital, which has shared multiple renders of the Galaxy S22 Ultra so far, has now reportedly grabbed an official poster for the Galaxy S22 series. From what can be seen in the image, the new flagship from Samsung will come with the exact design that has been in many rumours till now.
Two Samsung smartphones are seen in the poster. The first is going to be the Galaxy S22 Ultra clearly visible, while the latter is expected to be the Galaxy S22+ model. The poster clearly shows that the new S22+, and possibly the Galaxy S22, will sport a similar camera module as seen on the Galaxy S21 lineup.
However, the most important offering in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, especially due to its rear camera, will see a drastic change in design. As previously hinted, the device will carry a total of five lenses on its camera. Three of these will be aligned vertically while two will be placed adjacent to them.
Interestingly, these lenses will not be housed inside a separate camera module and will instead protrude from the rear panel of the Galaxy S22 Ultra itself, marking a seamless integration into the design of the lenses. There also an LED flash for viewing between the smaller lenses.
Apart from the camera, Samsung upcoming flagship will carry a design similar to its Galaxy Note lineup. Since Samsung is not sure about the future of its Note series, it is expected that the company will gradually fill the gap between the Note offering and the Galaxy S lineup. The S-Pen support and a bigger form factor on the Galaxy S21 Ultra as well as the Galaxy S22 Ultra are proof of this.
As for more affordable options in the upcoming series, the Galaxy S22+, and possibly the Galaxy S22, will retain last year's appearance with a few changes. For instance, both the phones are expected to come with a glass back panel this time around, a feature that Samsung fans didn't take for granted on the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+.
We'll be sharing more details about Samsung phones as they come out, so make sure you keep up with India Today Tech to stay on top of these developments.
