Apple announced earlier this week that its 'Unleashed' event will take place on October 18. While Apple has not made any official announcements, the Cupertino-based company is expected to bring the new M1X-powered MacBook Pro laptops to the event next week. Some reports also claim that the next generation AirPods (AirPods 3) will be unveiled at Apple Unleashed event on October 18. The new MacBook Pro models are said to include a new Apple Silicon chip called the Apple M1X chip, which is said to be a more powerful version of last year's Apple M1 chipset. This comes about a month after Apple introduced the Apple iPhone 13 and the new iPad Mini at an event last month on September 14.

The yet-to-be-announced Apple M1X chip is said to have more professional-focused and graphics-intensive capabilities. The chip is also said to have improved neural processing capabilities and to be capable of supporting up to 64GB of RAM. According to previous reports, the M1X was developed in two variants: with 10 CPU cores (eight high-performance and two high-efficiency) and either 16 or 32 graphics cores. The most recent M1X-powered Apple MacBook Pro laptops could come in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch. A mini-LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, faster charging, and the return of an HDMI port on a MacBook could be included in the computers. There could also be an SD card reader and MagSafe wireless charging compatibility. This year MacBook Pro is also expected to be devoid of the (in)famous touch bar, instead opting for physical buttons.

The AirPods 3, on the other hand, may have an AirPod Pro-like design with a shorter stem. The third-generation AirPods are also expected to include silicone ear tips, as opposed to the one-size-fits-all hard case bud found on the AirPods 1 and 2. Apple last released the Apple AirPods 2 in 2019. According to sources, the AirPods 3 will include features such as wireless charging and a new chip, but will lack premium or "pro" features such as Active Noise Cancellation and Spatial Audio.
