The long-awaited Oppo Reno8 series has a release date in the Philippines. The series will be launched soon by Oppo Philippines. The Reno8 smartphone series created quite a stir prior to its official unveiling. The lineup was also the subject of numerous rumours and leaks. The Reno8 lineup now includes the Reno8 5G and Reno8 Pro 5G models.
Both variants were released for global markets in July. The devices made multiple appearances online in the form of leaks prior to their official unveiling. To recap, the RAM, colours, and storage of the Reno8 Pro Indian variant were leaked earlier this year. The Reno8 Z 5G budget variant was unveiled earlier this month. If Oppo sticks to its current strategy, the Pro variant will not be available in the Philippines.

Oppo Reno8 Series Release Date In The Philippines
To summarise, the company had only launched the Reno7 5G and Reno7 Z 5G in the country. On the Oppo Philippines website, a dedicated microsite for the Reno8 series has gone live. Surprisingly, the Pro model is not listed on the official website for the upcoming series. As a result, only the Oppo Reno8 5G and Reno8 Z 5G could be released in the Philippines. Oppo, on the other hand, may deviate from tradition and release the Pro model in the country next month. Similarly, the Reno8 Pro Plus is unlikely to arrive in the Philippines.
The variant is available only in the Chinese market. In the Philippines, the Reno8 5G series will be available on September 1. The standard Reno8 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. If the Pro variant is released in the country, it may be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC will not be available in non-Chinese Pro models. It also includes a capable Mali-G77 GPU for graphics. The phone has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz.
It also comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In terms of photography, the Reno8 5G has a triple rear camera setup. This set includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone has a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Furthermore, the device has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80-watt SuperVOOC charging. It is powered by Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top. Finally, the phone is available in Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black.
