OnePlus announced its new software skin, OxygenOS 13, alongside the OnePlus 10T, the brand latest number-series flagship. The new Android skin, which will succeed OxygenOS 12, will be based on Android 13 and, predictably, the ColorOS codebase. OnePlus is not sitting still this summer. Following the unveiling of the OnePlus 10T, which will be available on August 25th, the manufacturer has revealed a new version of its user interface: OxygenOS 13.
The OnePlus 10 Pro will be the first smartphone to receive the OxygenOS 13 update. Then there's the new OnePlus 10T, which runs OxygenOS 12 and will be updated to OxygenOS 13 before the end of 2022. The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 8 series, as well as certain OnePlus Nord models, will be released later.
With OxygenOS 13, OnePlus transforms its home interface into a "aquamorphic" design, distinguished by a "smooth and rounded" aesthetic. At this point, the brand is following Google's lead, which has recently attempted to improve the UI of Android 13, on which OxygenOS 13 is based.

OnePlus says it was inspired by nature to create this new design, which includes a simplified interface and the hope of providing a more relaxing mobile experience. Keeping this in mind, the Zen mode is making a comeback. The company also emphasises its Always-on Display option, which is powered by a smart personalization feature for dynamic information display.
OnePlus also announces the latest version of its Hyperboost for mobile gaming, which allows users to choose between several performance modes for the best gaming experience or to conserve battery power. We also have a Smart Launcher, which promises a more intuitive interface with dynamic folder adjustments. Artificial intelligence enables you to manage its user interface (UI) automatically, from widgets to applications and notifications.
OnePlus has improved Nearby Share, the feature for sharing content with nearby Android and Windows devices, with OxygenOS 13. The brand makes sure faster transfers and a better user experience. Finally, a OnePlus-style Fast Pair function will be implemented to allow the smartphone to connect wirelessly to audio devices. However, the distinctions between Fast Pair and Google Fast Pair are not yet clear.
