What is Apple Wallet?
Apple Wallet is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that securely and conveniently organises your credit and debit cards, transit passes, boarding passes, tickets, student ID, car keys, rewards cards, and more.
The Wallet app is installed on your iPhone. It's where you keep your credit and debit cards, driver's licence or state ID, transit cards, event tickets, keys, and other valuables safe and secure. And it all works with an iPhone or an Apple Watch, so you can bring less but always bring more.

Apple Pay for Recharge
Recharge has officially adopted the new standard in online payments. Recharge now accepts Apple Pay for mobile checkouts in the United States, in collaboration with Stripe as a payment processor.
This new feature will allow subscription customers to pay for their orders on mobile in less time and with fewer steps, reducing friction during the checkout process.

The good news is that digital wallets like Apple Pay help shorten the checkout phase of a customer journey, resulting in more completed purchases and lower digital shopping cart abandonment rates—particularly for mobile shoppers. In fact, Apple Pay's user base tripled in the first two years, and transaction volumes increased 500%.
You can now implement this payment method and reap the same benefits for your subscription-based business.
What is Apple Pay?
Apple Pay is a digital payment tool that allows users to pay for goods and services using Apple devices (like an Apple Watch, iPhone, or iPad.) You can use Apple Pay to make secure purchases in apps or on the web, as well as send and receive money from friends and family. There is no need to download an app, and you can use the cards already in your wallet.
How it works?
When Recharge detects that you are using Stripe for payment processing, the option to enable Apple Pay will appear in the Checkout settings under Checkout page controls. Then, once you've enabled Apple Pay, your customers will see the Apple Pay option when using an iOS mobile device to check out.
This connects to their Apple Pay account and pulls information to complete the checkout process automatically. The customer will see the Apple Pay overlay and choose their payment method from there.
Keep in mind that Apple Pay does not have a section for entering discount codes, so your customers will need to switch to a different credit card in the customer portal to use them. If your checkout uses a custom domain, you must also authorise it in your Stripe account.
