The Blackview Tab 13 is a new tablet from a company known for rugged devices, but it isn't designed to withstand harsh conditions or drops like its signature products. Nonetheless, it has features that are uncommon in tablets, as well as a few improvements over its predecessor.
Blackview latest answer to the best Android tablets is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, which is paired with 6GB of RAM that can be expanded to 10GB via its 4GB memory expansion, a feature common in smartphones. The memory is paired with 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via a micro SD card slot.

The tablet main selling point is its support for SIMO internet technology. The Blackview Tab 13 can connect to the internet even without a SIM card or a Wi-Fi network thanks to SIMO virtual data technology. As a result, the tablet is ideal for frequent travellers who do not want to change SIM cards every time they visit a new country.
It should be noted, however, that the Tab 13 only supports SIMO 1.0, which is only available in the EU, UK, US, Mexico, Canada, and Japan. In order to expand SIM-less connectivity in other countries, Black view promises to include SIMO 2.0 support in future Black view tablets.
The tablet has a 10.1-inch FHD+ display with blue light protection, as evidenced by its TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification.
According to Black view, the Tab 13 is the first of its kind to include a PC mode. It essentially turns the tablet into a PC, allowing you to open multiple app windows at the same time. Unlike most split view capabilities, PC mode allows apps to be used in multi-window mode at the same time. Other Huawei and Xiaomi tablets, however, have their own PC mode support.
The Tab 13 comes with a large 7,280mAh battery, which is 700mAh larger than its predecessor. Black view claims it can be used for more than 30 hours between charges, but your mileage may vary. Continuous Wi-Fi video streaming, for example, can drain the battery in 6 hours.
The tablet is powered by Doke OS 3.0, which is based on Android 12. It has a dual 13MP camera setup on the back and an 8MP front camera.
The Tab 13 is available for $150 starting today, though you can get it for $133.99 with Blackview limited promotional offer here.
