Red Magic 7S, 7S Pro: Interior Design
The Red Magic 7S Pro official renders are now available. The Red Magic 7 will be designed in the same manner as the Pro model. According to the renders, the back of the smartphones will be designed similarly to previous generation models. They will, however, make some interesting changes on the front.
The front of both phones will have an under-display camera. For gaming, the right side will have pressure-sensitive triggers. The volume rocker and power button will be placed on the right side of the Red Magic 7S and 7 Pro, unlike previous-generation models. A red switch on the left side of the smartphones will activate liquid cooling.
The phones have a semi-transparent back, which does not show off the smartphone components but gives a good idea of where the good stuff is located.
The device camera module has been enhanced. It is now rectangular in shape, with a triple camera setup arranged in a square configuration. A cooling fan with a cool RGB LED will be located next to the camera module. The SIM card tray, as well as the bottom-facing speaker and USB-C connector, will be located at the bottom. The 3.5mm headphone jack will be located on the smartphones top right corners.
Nubia will also launch a special transformer edition model of the Red Magic 7S Pro. According to the renderings, the special edition model will be inspired by transformers. It will match Bumblebee iconic appearance. In addition, the device will be packaged in a hexagonal-shaped retail box with a Bumblebee-inspired external cooler, a protective cover, and a few other accessories.
Red Magic 7S, 7S Pro: Full Specifications
Display
The Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro are expected to have a 6.8-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The refresh rate on the Pro model could be as high as 165Hz, with a touch sampling rate of 720Hz. The Red Magic 7S, on the other hand, will most likely only support a refresh rate of 120Hz. It may have a brightness of up to 700 nits and colour accuracy that is superior to previous models. The display will have an in-display camera and fingerprint sensor, and it may be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Cameras
The Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro aren't exactly photography-focused phones, but they do have a decent camera for when you need it. Both gaming phones are expected to have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro shooter, as well as an LED flash.
The front camera scene with both the phones is interesting. They, like the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, have an under-display camera. The camera is likely to be 16-megapixel, but don't expect your selfies to be particularly good. Selfies taken with the under-display camera are not very satisfactory, but we expect good photo capture to a great extent.
Processor
Smartphone hardware specifications are quite impressive. The Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro are both equipped with Qualcomm latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Because both smartphones are expected to have nearly identical specifications, their performance will be not to much comparable.
Storage
These smartphones are expected to come in four RAM configurations: 8GB, 12GB, 16GB, and 8GB. When it comes to internal storage, the Red Magic 7S Pro is expected to have up to 1TB of space, whereas the standard 7S will only have 512GB.
Battery
The Red Magic 7S is expected to be powered by a 4500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The Pro model, on the other hand, could have a 5000mAh battery and insane 165W fast charging support. Both smartphones will most likely charge in less than 20 minutes. It is worth noting that the phones do not support wireless or reverse charging.
Red Magic 7S, 7S Pro: Features
Both phones are expected to include a slew of gaming-specific features such as pressure-sensitive physical triggers, Game space, and an intelligent heat dissipation and cooling system. For faster heat dissipation, the smartphones will have outfitted with ICE 10.0 liquid-cooling technology and a one-of-a-kind cooling fan.
The handsets are expected to run Red Magic 5.0, which is based on Android 12. They will include a USB type-C port, Bluetooth 2.0, NFC, a 3.5mm jack, and 5G connectivity.
