On July 12, Realme will launch its next flagship smartphone in China. The Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition will be the company first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, and Realme has now confirmed another first for the device.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently confirmed on Weibo that the Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition will be the world first smartphone to feature LPDDR5X RAM. In comparison to the current LPDDR5 standard, which provides speeds of up to 6.4 Gbps, LPDDR5X provides speeds of up to 8.5 Gbps.
Late last year, Samsung was the first to introduce the new memory technology. LPDDR5X is also claimed to use 20% less power. Realme has also confirmed a new VC cooling system inside the GT 2 Explorer Master Edition, in addition to the RAM. The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which uses TSMC 4nm process node, will also improve performance.
Realme also revealed information about the phone display, which is a 10-bit AMOLED panel. The screen will have a refresh rate of 120Hz and will support HDR10+. It will also have 16,000 auto-brightness levels, which Realme claims will provide a proper "eye protection experience." The screen also appears to have ultra-thin bezels.
The Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition will also have a metal frame and a "large battery," according to the company. The phone is expected to support 100W fast charging. According to the poster, the upcoming Realme GT smartphone will feature a triple-camera setup on the back.
