OnePlus 10T battery capacity confirmed

OnePlus 10T battery capacity confirmed

The OnePlus 10T is finally set to hit the market in the coming week, following multiple leaks. The Chinese branch will unveil the same device as the OnePlus Ace Pro, while the rest of the world will see it as the OnePlus 10T. Both devices are essentially "performance flagships," with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 150 W fast-charging. To keep the hype going, OnePlus is constantly teasing the device and has already confirmed some details about it. The battery capacity of the phone has now been confirmed by the company. It has a very good capacity, especially when compared to other devices that can charge at 100 W.

OnePlus has finally confirmed the device's battery capacity of 4,800 mAh. That sum comes as no surprise to those who follow the rumour mill. It has a capacity of 200 mAh less than the OnePlus 10 Pro, which has a capacity of 5,000 mAh. It does, however, charge much faster. The OPPO 10 Pro has a charging rate of 65 W in North America and 80 W in other regions.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 10T will bring 150W charging. This technology debuted with the Realme GT Neo 3 and OnePlus 10R, but these devices are basically the same. In fact, there were two versions for both devices, and the ones with "just" 4,500 mAh capacity with 150 W charging. Most smartphone OEMs have some trouble linking the capability with super fast charging. So, the advance to 4,800 mAh capacity is definitely a good move for OnePlus.

North America gets a different charging speed

According to the teaser, the OnePlus 10T battery can be recharged in 19 minutes using 150 W charging. Sadly, not all regions will have the same charging speed. According to reports, the OnePlus 10T will charge at a maximum of 125 W in North America. Of course, that won't make much of a difference because the device will only take a few minutes longer to charge. And we're talking about another 1-3 minutes.

You might be wondering why OnePls is unable to bring charging to North America. The 150 W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition apparently only works with outlets rated at 220V or higher. Most outlets in North America are either 110V or 120V. In other regions, the OnePlus 10T purchased in North America can still reach up to 150 W. According to the manufacturer, the device will only charge at 150 W if you purchase the compatible 150W SUPERVOOC Charger. The one that comes with the Realme GT Neo 3 will, however, most likely be compatible. The charger also supports the PD charging protocol, allowing you to charge your mobile gaming consoles, tablets, and laptops quickly.
