The Xiaomi 12 series is expected to receive several new models later this year. The Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X have already been released in a number of markets. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch event is scheduled for July. Two more smartphones, the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro, are expected to be released in select markets later this year.

Some key specifications of both of these S series smartphones have leaked online ahead of their official release. Mukul Sharma, aka Stufflistings, revealed the processor, RAM, and storage specifications for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and 12S Pro.
According to the source, the Xiaomi 12S will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will come with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB/256GB. The 12GB RAM variant will be available with 512GB of internal storage at launch.
According to Sharma, the Xiaomi 12S Pro will come with two storage options. One of the two models will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. It will be available in three storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. Sharma also claims that this variant will support 120W fast charging.
Another variant will be released with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. This variant is expected to be released with two storage options. The entry-level model will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Internal storage will be 512GB with the 12GB RAM option.
Xiaomi is also rumoured to launch the 12S series with smartphone cameras tuned by Leica. Earlier this year, the company confirmed its collaboration with the camera manufacturer. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is said to be the company's first smartphone with Leica-tuned cameras.
The three Xiaomi 12 series smartphones are expected to be released in India later this year. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is currently the only smartphone in the series that can be purchased in India.
