A large number of Xbox players have been anticipating the return of Street Fighter to the console.
Unfortunately, Xbox did not receive Street Fighter V, which turned out to be an excellent addition to the series. It included a plethora of new characters as well as new mechanics such as the V gauge, which added an extra layer of depth to matches.
Xbox fans are eager to play Street Fighter VI now that it has been announced.
Street Fighter returns to Xbox consoles
The good news for Xbox players is that when Street Fighter VI is released in 2023, it will be available on the Xbox Series X.
This follows the release of a brief trailer for the upcoming title. There appear to be many more features that fans of the series can look forward to.
One of these will be the World Tour, in which users will be able to travel the world and compete against various fighters. This will be included alongside classic modes such as Fighting Ground.
The trailer debuted at Sony's State of Play event, where they also announced other upcoming titles. Resident Evil 4 and a PC remaster of Spider-Man were among them.
Despite the trailer, many questions remain about the sixth instalment of this legendary fighting game series franchise. One of these is how the roster will look, as the trailer primarily focused on four characters.
Luke, a Street Fighter V DLC character, was one of the four. He was a popular fighter in the previous game, so many fans were pleased to see him return.
Jamie, a new character for the game, was also shown in the trailer. He performs a kick-heavy dance style. He may also be a descendant of Yun and Yang from the third title in the series.
Chun Li and Ryu, who make triumphant returns, are the other two characters featured in the trailer. It shouldn't be too surprising for them to appear, as they are series regulars. Other classic characters such as Ken, Akuma, and Guile are also expected to return.
As of now, no official release date for the new game has been announced. It will simply be released in 2023.
