Following reports that Sony would stop selling PS Plus retail cards in stores, the company has now released PlayStation Plus gift cards in various denominations for its revamped subscription service.
Push Square discovered that you can now buy a gift card for £84 (103$) worth of PS Store credit from retailers such as Amazon UK and US. This is the annual fee for joining PlayStation new PS Plus Extra tier.
Similarly, you can purchase a £100 voucher that will cover someone Premium subscription for a year.
The lucky recipient then only needs to go to the PlayStation store and redeem their voucher code.
Sony has released a new trailer titled Mr. Malcom to accompany the release of its updated subscription service last week. This commercial transitioned viewers from a seemingly ordinary outing for one man to a surreal collection of PlayStation-inspired Easter eggs ranging from Death Stranding to Subnautica.
Meanwhile, Sony has finally surpassed the number of games promised as part of its PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues, after previously launching the service in other regions with far fewer titles than expected.
Furthermore, the company has promised that it will provide "NTSC options for the majority" of its Classic Catalogue PlayStation 1 games in the future, though it has not specified when or for which games at the time of writing.
Eurogamer PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra guide has a comprehensive breakdown of everything on offer.
