iPhone 14 leaks: latest leak reveals details related to the display

According to a new market research report from Omdia, Apple will continue to collaborate with three display suppliers for the upcoming iPhone models' displays. LG, Samsung, and BOE are among these companies. According to the report, the iPhone 14 lineup will include two OLED display variants across four variants, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The same report goes into detail about the upcoming iPhone models' display sizes and specifications.

According to the report, the upcoming iPhone series will include four new variants: a standard model, a Plus variant, a Pro model, and a Pro Plus model (with Plus it means Max). There will be no mini model this year. Instead, the Cupertino-based tech behemoth will debut the iPhone 14 Max. According to reports, the mini model has impacted the sales of the iPhone SE series, prompting the decision to discontinue it in favour of the Max.

According to reports, the four upcoming iPhone models will have LTPS OLED and LTPO OLED displays. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are said to have 6.1-inch and 6.9-inch LTPS OLED displays, respectively. Both of these models are said to use new OLED displays with a faster refresh rate. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, are said to have an LTPO OLED display. The variable refresh rate (VRR) feature will be limited to Pro models as well. Furthermore, Apple is likely to add an always-on display to the Pro models.

As per the previous reports, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will have a standard wide-notched display, while the Pro models will have a pill-shaped notch. To recall, Apple first introduced a wide notch with the iPhone X, and all subsequent iPhones have used the same design. The company reportedly intends to change the design and offer a larger screen size with the iPhone 14 Pro models. The pill-shaped design looks good in renders, but we'll have to wait until the iPhone 14 launches to see if it looks as good in reality.
