There's no brownie point in speculating why Apple is hiring the Foxconn plant aggressively. Apple plans to release the iPhone 14 series in September of this year. The Foxconn plant in Zhengzhou, China, is the company's largest iPhone manufacturing facility. As Apple prepares to launch the iPhone 14, the plant is currently on a hiring spree and will also offer bonuses to new employees. Foxconn halted new hires last month due to an increase in COVID cases in China.

Foxconn has begun hiring new assembly line workers and trainees, according to the South China Morning Post. It will also provide bonuses of up to 9,000 yuan (Rs 1 lakh roughly). According to the report, employees must stay on the job for at least four months to be eligible for the bonus. The South China Morning Post discovered the job posting on Monday by Foxconn Digital Product Business Group, which is in charge of producing the iPhone 14.
"As the contract manufacturer tries to provide a stable level of production," said Ivan Lam, a Hong Kong-based analyst at Counterpoint Research, "Foxconn latest recruitment drive is expected to scale up cash rewards to entice more workers back in the coming months."
The Foxconn plant is responsible for producing approximately 80% of iPhones worldwide, according to the report, and the summer hiring indicates that Apple is preparing for a new launch. According to the report, Apple may consider reallocating some orders for new iPhones to other planets in China if Foxconn production is disrupted for various reasons. However, it is unlikely that people will shift production of new phones away from China.
