When two people are in a relationship, they practically share everything, including their bank account, personal information, and passwords. When relationships fail, however, people have a tendency to misuse the private information that their partners had shared in happier times.

To address such concerns, Apple introduced a new Safety Check feature to assist people in protecting their vital information from being misused in an abusive relationship. The feature includes an emergency reset option, which allows users to sign out of iCloud on all of their Apple devices.
The Safety Check is essentially a new section that allows you to quickly review who has access to your data, such as iCloud. Apple's new feature may be useful to users whose personal safety is threatened by domestic or intimate partner violence by quickly removing all access they had granted to their partners.

The Safety Check feature also includes an emergency reset option, which allows users to easily sign out of iCloud on all of their other devices, reset privacy permissions, and limit messaging to only the device in their hand. The feature will assist users in understanding and managing which people and apps they have access to.

Many people share passwords and device access with a partner. However, in abusive relationships, this can jeopardise personal safety and make it more difficult for victims to seek help," said Katie Skinner, an Apple privacy engineering manager, at the WWDC.
To assist people in abusive relationships, Apple has partnered with NNEDV (National Network to End Domestic Violence), NCVC (National Center for Victims of Crime), and Australia WESNET (Women's Services Network). The button will allow people to pause and share.

The app functions similarly across platforms, reminding users to take their medications on time. Users would be able to manage a medication list, create schedules and reminders, and track their medications, vitamins, or supplements with this feature.
