'Stranger Things' fans can finally rejoice that season 4 has arrived on Netflix after nearly three years of anticipation. Well, for the most part. As previously stated, Netflix divided Season 4 into two parts. Stranger Things season 4 part 2 will be released later this summer, following the release of the first volume in May.
The new season is literally bigger and better than ever, with nine episodes that last more than an hour. When you consider how long we've had to wait for these episodes, that's a lot of bang for your buck.
The gang is up against a new monster known as Vecna in the first volume of the new season, and as they battle against the Upside Down latest threat, they uncover so many new key details about the Upside Down itself.
Unfortunately, the grand finale of Season 4 will not be revealed until June 2022. Stranger Things season 4 part 2 was not included in Netflix complete list of new releases for the month, but the good news is that we won't have to wait long.
Stranger Things season 4 part 2 release date
Stranger Things season 4 part 2 will be released on Friday, July 1, following the release of the first seven episodes on May 27. Due to the length of the episodes, which is over an hour per episode, Netflix decided to split the season into two volumes.
Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 will include two episodes. Obviously, that's an unusual number of episodes to release in a "half" season, but episode 8 clocks in at nearly an hour and a half, while the final episode clocks in at 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Stranger Things fans have more to look forward to than just the second volume of Season 4. Season 5, which will be the series final season, has already been renewed by Netflix. Although The Duffer Brothers have promised that the gap between seasons 4 and 5 will be shorter than the one between seasons 3 and 4, it is still unclear when the season will be released.
