Redmi has introduced two new 5G smartphones in China, the Redmi Note 11T Pro and Redmi Note 11T Pro+. The devices provide a high-end MediaTek 8100 chip at a lower price point, which will appeal to a lot of users. The same chip can be found in more expensive phones such as the OnePlus 10R, which costs arround $500. Only one feature distinguishes the two Redmi phones. Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11T Pro+
Both smartphones have the same specifications, with the only difference being the battery unit and fast charging. The Pro model has a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The Plus model has a smaller 4,400mAh battery and support for 120W charging technology.
The displays on the devices are 6.6-inch FHD+ LTPS. The panel supports 144Hz refresh rates, but there is no AMOLED display. For the Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G, Xiaomi has chosen an LCD display.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The new Redmi phone comes pre-installed with Android 12. Other features include a fingerprint sensor on the side, stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and more. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 as well as NFC.
The smartphone come with a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera. It comes with an 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. A 16-megapixel selfie camera can be found on the front. The 5G phones are IP53 rated, which means they can withstand water splashes. Xiaomi has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack, which some users may find useful.
Redmi Note 11T Pro series: Price
The Redmi Note 11T Pro starts at CNY 1,799, which is approximately $270 when converted. The device will be available at a discounted price of CNY 1,699 as part of the launch (approximately $255). In comparison, the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ costs CNY 1,999. (around $300). The listed price is for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration.
There is no word on when the new Redmi Note series phones will be available in India. Given that Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro Max smartphones in the Indian market, there is a chance that the devices will be released under the Poco brand.
