Salihamidzic confirmed widespread reports that the Bundesliga second-highest all-time scorer, despite having a contract until 2023, could be on his way out ahead of Bayern final game of the season at VfL Wolfsburg.
"I spoke with Leva. In that discussion he told me that he does not want to accept our offer to extend the contract and we want to leave the club," Salihamidzic told Sky Germany.
"He said he wanted to do something else. But our position hasn't changed. The fact is he has a contract of June 30, 2023."
The 33-year-old Pole joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 and has won the German league and the Champions League every year since.
