As Overwatch 2 continues to grow, Blizzard has released a new trailer revealing more about the origins of Sojourn, one of the new characters joining the game in the sequel.
Acting commander Vivian Chase, as she is known outside the ranks of Overwatch, joined the big squad after her Canadian special forces unit collaborated with Overwatch during the Omnic Crisis, an uprising of artificially intelligent androids against their human masters.

Sojourn says in the trailer, "Jack Morrison [Soldier: 76] and I worked well together, and after the war he reached out." "[I] did whatever was required. I occasionally ran point for our field agents. At times, I was in command of the operation. Whatever their mission was, mine was to bring each and every one of them home."
Sojourn says his goodbyes to Overwatch at the end of the video, probably during the team's disbandment several years before the events of the game. "You never know where it is going to take you," she says, adding that a new voyage is only around the corner.
