iPhone SE Gen 3: Indian Price and Launch Date

iPhone SE Gen 3: As per a previous Bloomberg report and some leaks it has been revealed, Apple may be planning to host its latest Spring event on March 8.

But it is important to know that the brand has not yet confirmed any date for the event, but it is expected that the successor of the iPhone SE 2020 will be launched with other devices like the refreshed iPad Air and possibly the new silicon chipset from Apple. A new Mac mini will be launched alongside. This will be the third affordable iPhone from the brand.

The device name has yet to be determined. Some claim that the third generation of the iPhone SE will be known as the iPhone SE 3 (iPhone SE Gen 3), while others speculate that it will be called the iPhone SE+ because it will feature an old design similar to the iPhone 8.

iPhone SE Gen 3: Price in india

Before the launch, analyst John Donovan speculated that the upcoming iPhone SE Gen 3 could be priced at $300, which converts to around Rs 22,604 in India. However, due to customs duties and GST charges, it is expected to cost more than Rs 30,000 in the country.

iPhone SE Gen 3: Price in usa

The iPhone SE 2020 was launched in the United States for $399 (approximately Rs 30,500), but it is now available in India for Rs 42,500.

iPhone SE 2020 is currently available in India for Rs 28,999, but there is a chance that this model will be reduced in price. According to Bloomberg Mark Gurman, now may be the best time for Apple to lower the price of the iPhone SE 2020 in order to attract more budget conscious customers. He believes the price could be reduced to $199. (approximately Rs 15,000). It is expected to be around Rs 20,000 in India.

iPhone SE Gen 3: Expected features

Apple is unlikely to make significant changes in the design department. The iPhone SE Gen 3 is expected to keep the same design as the iPhone SE 2020 model. If this is true, the new version will have a physical home button with Touch ID, thick bezels on the top and bottom, a very compact screen, and a single camera on the back.

iPhone SE Gen 3 is expected to have a 4.7-inch LCD screen. Some customers may be dissatisfied because Android manufacturers provide more than 6.2-inch displays even in the affordable level, while those who do not like big displays may not mind having a tiny screen.

Apple latest 5nm A15 Bionic 5G processor, which also powers the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max in 2021, is expected to power the upcoming affordable iPhone SE Gen 3.

It is currently unknown whether Apple will offer 128GB storage as a base model, as it did with higher-end models. According to the leaks and some of reports, the device will have a single 12-megapixel camera on the back. It's said to have an external X60M 5G baseband chip for a better photography experience.

iPhone SE 3: Cameras

Thanks to Apple Computational Photography, the iPhone SE 2020 takes good looking photos, but has only one lens. For the iPhone SE 3, we'd like to see Apple include an ultrawide lens.

To compete with the Pixel 5a, Apple should also add a Night Mode to the iPhone SE 3. The front camera of the iPhone SE 3 could also use an upgrade, as the current selfie shooter is only 7MP.

iPhone SE 3: battery and charging

The iPhone SE battery life was a notable flaw. According to Tom's Guide, the iPhone SE battery life was 9 hours and 18 minutes, which was more than 4G. Fortunately, the A15 Bionic processor should make the iPhone SE more efficient, and we're hoping Apple can also fit in a larger battery.

According to Makotakara, the iPhone SE 3 will not support MagSafe wireless charging, which is available on the iPhone 13, but will instead support regular Qi wireless charging.

iPhone SE 3: What we want to see

As good as the iPhone SE (2020) is, there are a few things we'd like to see improved for its successor.

OLED display and higher resolution: The LCD on the iPhone SE (2020) is suitable, but we'd prefer a better OLED display on the iPhone SE 3. This would result in brighter colours and deeper blacks with improved contrast. We'd also like to see a resolution increase. The pixel density on the iPhone SE (2020) is also not particularly high at 1334 x 750.

5G Connectivity: Now that other phone makers are selling 5G phones for less than $500, if not less than $400, it's time for Apple to do the same with its affordable device. Despite the fact that 5G networks are still being implemented, buyers deserve connectivity that is future use.

More cameras and Night Mode: The iPhone SE (2020) is equipped with a single 12MP wide-angle camera. It takes good photos, but in some cases, Apple trails the Pixel 5a. If the iPhone SE 3 gets a second camera, it'll most likely be an ultrawide sensor. We also want Night Mode, which the SE (2020) lacks.

Better battery life: As we said above, the battery life of the iPhone SE (2020) is not that good. It doesn't hit the 10-hour average that we like to see in our battery tests, but it can get through a day with moderate use. For the upcoming iPhone SE 3, we expect Apple to use a bigger battery.

Slimmer bezels: The iPhone 8 was a good device for its time, but it predated the iPhone X radical redesign. As phones bezels become thinner and thinner, the iPhone 8 body begins to look old and out of date. We are hopeful that Apple will update the design of the iPhone SE 3 to make it more modern. Other low-cost phones appear more modern.
