Follow these steps to disable this setting

Step1: Tap the Recent button on the left side button

Step2: Then tap on the three dots on the top right

Step3: Tap on Settings

Step4: This will open the recent settings

Step5: Here you will see the suggested apps show on the recent screen.

Step6: By default it will be on, you can turn it off by tapping on it
