5 Reasons to Buy PIXEL 6 and PIXEL 6 PRO

5 reasons to buy PIXEL 6 and PIXEL 6 PRO

1. CAMERA

Google has an upgraded camera system on the pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro with a 50 megapixel wide angle lens being your main shooter on both devices. The characteristics of this camera are high levels of detail contrast, excellent color accuracy and the natural Boca effect which makes needing a standalone portrait mode. A thing of the past as you can see in the sample shots Google has continued the trend of delivering a phone capable of excellent shots not just in good lighting but in dark and night time conditions too.

On the Pixel 6 Pro a bonus of 4 times optical lands which is great for snapping photos at a distance with retain detail. If I absolutely had to give only one reason to buy the latest pixel phones it would likely be the cameras at a starting price of 599$ for the pixel 6 they're tough to beat.

2. SOFTWARE

Android 12 is one of the best upgrades of the android OS in years. Its main goal is to bring new levels of customisation while also focusing heavily on user privacy.  The pixel 6 softwares appearances heavily dictated by the colors found in your chosen wallpaper which is an aspect of Google new material UI plus the company's android design team is putting additional emphasis on custom icons and newly skinned widgets for those who value privacy.

Visible cues can be seen when an app is accessing either your phone microphone or camera with the user able to quickly denied that access should they need to and seeing as how this is Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro buyer can look forward to 3 years of android OS upgrades and up to 5 years of monthly security patches in addition to pixel feature drops a few times a year.

3. TENSOR

Google first in house chip for phones is called tensor and it's inside both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro having used both phones for a couple of weeks now I can say that so far I've had no issues with performance on either device but the Pixel 6 having 8GB of ram and the Pixel 6 Pro having 12GB of ram. The biggest difference I've seen is a much improved processing times for photos coming from the Pixel a 5 to use as my daily driver for a year which takes a good possum processing night site photos. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can snap a photo and then have it ready for viewing a moment later.

When cycling through apps and playing games or no stutters, no lag and no junk to be seen which is exactly what we want from a smartphone released in 2021. If this is a sign of what's to come from Google and tensor things are looking promising plus we'll support anything that helps take a bite of Qualcomm smartphone processor market share competition is a good thing in this business.

4. HARDWEAR

There's something about the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro hardwear it's just got the googliness Google offers fun colors for the pixel 6 like kind of coral and sort of seafoam providing a bit more of a premium aesthetic for the pixel 6 pro with its shiny metallic exterior trim curved front glass. Personally I gravitate toward smaller phones with flat displays. Some pixel 6 has grown on me considerably but the pixel 6 pro appearance in cloud white is hard to ignore.

Both phones have healthy amounts of glass which is best protected using the case of which there are plenty to choose from. Well I know some people may not be a fan of the camera hump found on the backside of both phones. It actually serves a nice purpose in the form of toting the phone toward you when laying on the surface. We just moved in plus build look and feel a bit nicer possibly but I really haven't minded the hump and it does give the phone quite an added bit of unique character.

5. PRICE

If your budget is 600$ you should buy the Pixel 6 no questions asked. If your budget is 1000$ you have more options but the Pixel 6 Pro should be right up there on a short list of 599$. The Pixel 6 is offering a 90Hz refresh rate display, fantastic software support, a great camera system and hardware that stands apart for 300$ more 899$. The Pixel 6 Pro gets you the 120Hz refresh rate, 5G mm wave support select areas, the additional telephoto lens plus everything else the pixel 6 has.

In terms of competition there are many other phones that are offering this much at these prices. Yes Samsung and OnePlus make good phones but my argument would be that if you care about timely android software updates Google has phone from both those companies beat in a phone by phone spec breakdown the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro won't be every phone but when it comes to what you get at the Pixel 6 is 599$ price and the Pixel 6 Pro 899$ price these are really good offers from Google and they shouldn't be ignored.

Think I missed something more remarkable. Let me know in the comments below that in the meantime good luck to all you phone buyers.
