The Xiaomi 12 series made its debut in December of last year. While rumours suggested that three devices would be added to the lineup, only two were released. The third device in the lineup is said to be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The rumoured device has recently been in the news, implying that it will be released soon.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will succeed Xiaomi current flagship device, the Mi 11 Ultra. Xiaomi has yet to confirm any details about this device, but leaks have provided us with a sneak peek at the rumoured device. According to a new leak, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, like the other two phones in the lineup, will be powered by Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Aside from that, we anticipated changes to the camera and charging.

While that was a quick overview of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, we have more information to share with you, so let's get started.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra: Specs and features
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra has been making headlines for quite some time. However, we do not yet have a firm launch date. There have been several rumours about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra release date. While some speculate that the launch will occur in the first quarter of 2022, others speculate that it will occur later in the third quarter.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will most likely be the following device in the Xiaomi 12 series. According to Digital Chat Station's latest post, this flagship smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. His post mentions the Qualcomm SM8475 chipset powered L2S, model number 2206122SC. According to the post, the device will be priced higher than the Xiaomi 12 Pro and will be available in Q3 2022.
In his post, tipster Digital Chat Station did not explicitly mention the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. However, the Xiaomi 12 L2S was discovered to be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra in an earlier IMEI database leak. Even in this case, the device was equipped with the Qualcomm SM8475 chipset, which is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
The same source revealed the Xiaomi 12 Ultra other specifications. He stated that Xiaomi will reintroduce 120W charging support. On the Mi 10 Ultra, Xiaomi reduced charging support to 67W from 120W. He also mentions that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will come with a 4860mAh battery and support for 50W wireless charging. The battery on the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be 260mAh larger than the battery on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
He also stated that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have a 1440p Samsung display with a fast refresh rate. The Xiaomi 12 Pro supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz, so we expect similar support on the upcoming model.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to be equipped with the same camera system as the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, but with Leica branding. The phone could have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a second 48-megapixel telephoto sensor.
LetsGoDigital previously displayed concept renders of the Xiaomi Ultra, so we have an idea of the design of the rumoured device. The renders show a large circular rear camera module, as opposed to the rectangular camera module on the Mi 11 Ultra.
The camera island is made up of multiple cameras, with a large main sensor in the centre. A telephoto lens is located beneath the main camera, while a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor or a shorter telephoto with a 2x-3x range is located on top. Another sensor, possibly an ultra-wide camera, is located to the left. The remaining cutouts are most likely for the LED flash, light sensor, and PDAF.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra has minimal bezels and a centred punch-hole camera on the front.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch date
Xiaomi is yet to confirm the Xiaomi 12 Ultra's release date. The launch is expected to take place in March or April, according to several leakers. Digital Chat Station, on the other hand, cites a Q3 2022 debut date. As a result, the debut of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is now certain.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra India price (expected)
It's too soon to talk about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra's price. However, we already know that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be a flagship offering. For those who are unaware, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was launched in India for Rs. 69,999. As a result, we can expect the upcoming model to be priced similarly or slightly higher.
