Google claims that the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models are the fastest Google phones yet. The latest iterations promise to run smoother, open apps faster, and deliver more responsive gaming, with up to 80% faster performance than the previous model.
All of this is made possible by Tensor advanced on-device AI, which powers features such as speech recognition and improved image processing. This is where Google really shows off its creative prowess.
According to the company, the main sensor captures 150% more light than the Pixel 5, a feat aided by some useful new features. Face Unblur appears to be a stabilisation-like function that allows you to keep faces in focus, whereas the Magic Eraser allows you to edit and remove unwanted sections from your shots. There's also Motion Mode, which captures action shots and long exposures, and Real Tone, which is designed to produce more accurate portraits.
The Pixel 6 Pro has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, while the Pixel 6 has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Both phones have a 24-hour maximum battery life and are water-resistant, with wireless and reverse wireless charging options.
