Xiaomi Group Partner and Senior Vice President Zhang Feng announced a review of the brand air conditioner business for the year 2021. The VP revealed that Xiaomi sold over 2 million units of its air-conditioner during the reporting period from January 1, 2021. Till 31st December 2021.
Xiaomi air-conditioners have become one of the popular products of the brand and this sales report confirms the fact. MIJIA air conditioners were ranked as the best-selling brand on Jingdong (JD.com) in May 2021 with the brand selling over 4,000 units, which is more than 15 times the sales of the previous month.
Xiaomi has often maintained a minimalist design in most of its products and the air-conditioner lineup is no exception. While they feature a minimalist design, the MIJIA air-conditioner adopts Xiaomi new-generation dual-hybrid fresh air system and its self developed centrifugal turbocharging technology. The units are capable of deep purification of indoor and outdoor air and then release fresh air through secondary pressurization.
The air-conditioners also come with Xiaomi self-developed Fresh Air System technology that provides a large fresh air volume of 40m³/h without expanding or re-opening, efficiently dilutes indoor harmful gases, circulates quickly allows, and uses clean oxygen. Containing air with real-time replacement to solve closed air conditioning. They are also equipped with a high-grade HEPA filter with 4 layers of deep purification bringing anti-bacterial and anti-viral capabilities, and thus, keeping the indoor air fresh.
In addition to wall-mounted air-conditioners, Xiaomi also has floor/standing air-conditioners that are portable enough to carry around. These products may have contributed to overall sales as well. The brand is looking to build on the successes of 2021 and hence, we expect more air conditioning products with innovative technology.
