OnePlus 9RT vs iPhone 12: The much anticipated OnePlus 9RT has finally arrived in India. It is a less expensive alternative to the OnePlus 9. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is also found in the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. It also has a 120Hz AMOLED panel, 50-megapixel triple rear cameras, and a 4500mAh battery with 65W charging support. Basically, everything high-end at a slightly lower price.
The OnePlus 9RT, which costs 42,999, faces stiff competition from the iPhone 12. At the moment, the iPhone 12 can be purchased for as little as Rs 43,000, which is the same price as the OnePlus 9RT. It is worth noting, however, that the discount does not occur immediately and includes exchange value and bank offers.
Despite the fact that the iPhone 12 is a generation old, it comes with excellent hardware cameras and software. So we decided to pit the newly released OnePlus 9RT against the iPhone 12 to see which was the superior choice.

Dimensions and Weight: The OnePlus 9RT measures 162.2 x 74.6 x 8.3mm and weighs 199 grams. While the dimensions of the iPhone 12 are 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.4 mm and weighing 164 grams.
Display: The OnePlus 9RT features a significantly larger 6.62-inch display compared to the 6.1-inch display on the iPhone 12. Both these devices have OLED panels but OnePlus 9RT has the edge with 120Hz high refresh rate.
Processor: The OnePlus 9RT is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset that will power most Android flagships in 2021. On the other hand, iPhone 12 is equipped with A14 Bionic chipset. The A14 Bionic chipset is clocked at 3.1GHz while the Snapdragon 888 is clocked at 2.84GHz.
RAM: OnePlus 9RT comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM models.
Storage: OnePlus 9RT has been introduced in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. While the iPhone 12 comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB options.
Rear Camera: The OnePlus 9RT packs a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The iPhone 12, on the other hand, has dual rear cameras including a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra wide lens.
Front Camera: The OnePlus 9RT sports a 16-megapixel main camera while the iPhone 12 sports a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
Battery: OnePlus 9RT packs a 4500mAh battery with 65W charging support. On the other hand, the iPhone 12 packs a 2815mAh battery with 20W charging.
Software: OnePlus 9RT runs Android 11 with Oxygen OS 11 on top while iPhone 12 comes with iOS 14 which is upgradeable to the current version i.e. iOS 15.
Connectivity and Security: The connectivity options on both are almost identical except for the Lightning port for charging the iPhone. The OnePlus 9RT has an in display fingerprint sensor for authentication while the iPhone 12 relies on Face ID.
OnePlus 9RT vs iPhone 12: India price
OnePlus 9RT has been made available in two configurations. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at Rs 42,999. There is another model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage whose price is yet to be revealed.
At the same time, the base model of iPhone 12 can also be purchased for around Rs 43,000 with exchange and bank offers. The iPhone 12 is currently selling for Rs 65,990 for the 64GB storage model. Apple reseller, India iStore is offering flat cashback of Rs 5,000 on ICICI Bank debit and credit cards, Kotak Bank debit and credit cards and SBI credit cards worth Rs 60,990.
Along with this, the reseller is offering good discounts on the phone exchange. For example, an iPhone XR 64GB in good working condition can bring down the price by another Rs 15,000.
