Moto Edge X30 will get Camera Performance Boost in Its Next Update

Lenovo was the first phone manufacturer to ship Qualcomm latest and greatest, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, on its flagship Moto Edge X30 in December 2021. However, the device camera performance was quite average when compared to the competition but Lenovo plans to improve the phone camera performance in the next update.

Chen Jin, Lenovo Senior Product Manager in China, broke the news. Chen, who goes by the Weibo handle "Amazing Bro," confirmed that Lenovo will release a major software update for the Moto Edge X30 before the Lunar New Year (February 1, 2022), implying that the update will be available to users before the end of January.

In terms of the new features that the impending major software update will offer, Chen says that the Moto Edge X30 will have better camera software than the present camera software, and that the video recording on the new camera software will be "amazing." Chen also mentioned that the next update will support faster frame rates for video recording, allowing for better movement in videos.

In terms of security, Chen emphasises that the Moto Edge X30 will now have a new "Privacy Space" mode following the major update. Chen did not mention the highlights of this new mode, but it may function similarly to Xiaomi Second Space, which allows you to use two completely different spaces on your phone - one for work and one for leisure with games, social media, and video-sharing platforms.

Chen also expresses regret in the post that the software team was unable to create a solution for a more stock Android like notification centre and notification shade because Lenovo wanted to release the major update before the Lunar New Year. By the end of January 2022, the update will be available for Moto Edge X30 devices in China.
