Until recently, only leaks and renders had come about the upcoming iPhone 14 series. A new report has now shared important information about the camera specifications of the iPhone 15 series. The report states that the iPhone 15 Pro, which is expected to arrive in 2023, will come with a 5X periscope camera.
According to 9toMac, analyst Jeff Pu has predicted that the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro models will come with a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Pu revealed that Apple has already received samples of the unit and will make a final decision by May 2022. The iPhone 15 Pro model is likely to include a 5x periscope lens, which could be the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The analyst revealed that Apple is currently in talks with Lante Optics, which is expected to be the main supplier of the periscope lenses used in the 2023 iPhones.
At the moment, Jeff Pu says that if the companies reach any conclusions, Lante Optics is expected to supply more than 100 million components to Apple. This isn't the first time Apple is working on a periscope lens that has surfaced. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted that the company is working to include Pericope lenses in 2023 iPhones. The information should be taken with a grain of salt as it is completely based on speculation. Apple won't reveal anything about the iPhone 15 before 2023, so you'll have to wait until at least 2023 to find out which camera lens will be included in the iPhone 15 Pro.
