Moto Edge X30 first sale: 10,000 units sold in less than 3 minutes

The world first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone Moto Edge X30 went on sale in China for the first time today. Within minutes of making it available for purchase, the general manager of Lenovo China mobile division confirmed that the company has sold 10,000 units of the device in less than 3 minutes.

The official poster released by the brand states that the company has achieved sales of over 100 million Yuan for the Edge X30 in its first sale. The handset was made available for purchase through several e-commerce platforms in China. For those unaware, the Edge X30 is currently available in China. It is expected to arrive with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra moniker in Europe and other markets in January 2022.

The Edge X30 comes in white and black colours. It is priced at 3,199 Yuan (~$502) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, 3,399 Yuan (~$534) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and 3,599 Yuan (~$565) for the 12GB RAM variant is + 256 GB storage model.

Moto Edge X30 Specifications

The Moto Edge X30 sports a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers FHD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 576Hz touch sampling rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The display punch-ho houses a 60-megapixel selfie snapper. The rear-facing triple camera unit of the phone houses a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The SG81 powered phone offers LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W rapid charging. It runs on Android 12 OS, which is covered by MyUX 3.0.
