Huawei JLN-AL00 is an upcoming 4G phone with HarmonyOS

It appears that Huawei is working on a new 4G smartphone next year as a device with model number JLN-AL00 has just received permission from the Telecom Authority of China. The device was certified on December 24 and it reveals one of its key specifications.

Thanks to the certification, the Huawei JLN-AL00 is now confirmed to have 4G connectivity. Interestingly, the device was listed out-of-the-box on HarmonyOS. It looks like the company is working on a budget smartphone for the Chinese market.

The specifications of the phone are not yet known, but as it is its first certification, we expect the handset to make an appearance on the internet more often.

In related news, Huawei recently launched a Galaxy Z Flip 3 competitor called the Huawei P30 Pocket. The P50 Pocket is a foldable flip phone that sports a 6.9-inch OLED display with 1188 x 2790 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has a 300Hz touch sampling rate, 442 PPI pixel density, and P3 color gamut. It also has a 1.04-inch cover screen with 340 x 340 pixels resolution.

For the cameras, the Huawei P50 Pocket sports a triple system at the back. It has a 40MP main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 32MP ultra-wide sensor. Upfront, it houses a 10.7MP selfie sensor with an aperture of f/2.2.

On top, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core SoC. Although it has a flagship SoC, it still has 4G connectivity. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
