Oppo A55s renders were spotted on Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG, and the FCC database a week ago, ahead of its launch. The leaked renders revealed the phone dual-camera setup on the back, and the listing on Geekbench revealed its model number CPH2309, as well as some details like 4GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC, and Android 11. The phone has been officially launched in Japan, and it is expected to be available in other South Asian markets soon. It is a 5G phone and the most recent offering from Oppo in Japan. However, the phone will be available for purchase beginning next week.
Oppo A55s Specifications
Oppo A55s has a 6.5-inch full HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage onboard. There is, however, a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The Oppo A55s has a dual-camera setup on the back, with a primary 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an LED flash. Oppo has provided dust and water protection on an A-series phone for the first time, as the Oppo A55s appears to have an IP rating, though the exact rating criteria are unknown at this time. According to some sources, it is IPX8/IP6X. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 11 and Oppo ColorOS 11 skin on top. The phone has a 4000mAh battery with up to 18W fast charging support. The Oppo A55s has Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G with VoLTE, and, of course, 5G connectivity. The phone also has a USB-C charging and data transfer port, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Oppo A55s costs JPY 33,800, which is roughly Rs 22,000 in India. The phone will go on sale in Japan on November 26th, but pre-registration for the sale begins today. The phone comes in two colour options: green and black. The phone could be released in other South Asian markets, but Oppo has made no announcements regarding the device release outside of Japan.
