On Saturday (April 2), the much-anticipated trailer for Thalapathy Vijay 'Beast' was released, and it contained all of the elements that make up a commercial mass entertainer. The nearly three-minute trailer introduced viewers to Vijay character Veeraraghavan, a RAW agent known as the "best and most notorious spy." Terrorists are shown hijacking Chennai East Coast Mall while Veeraraghavan is still inside, resulting in action-packed sequences of our protagonists fighting them.
This is most likely the reason Kuwait has banned Thalapathy Vijay film, 'Beast.'
Ramesh Bala, a film and trade analyst, tweeted on Tuesday that "#Beast has been banned by the Ministry of Information in #Kuwait." He went on to say that, while there was no confirmation as to why the film was banned in Kuwait, the "reason could be portrayal of Pakistan, terrorists, or violence."
In his tweet, Ramesh Bala also mentioned that 'Beast' is the first film in recent memory to be banned in Kuwait. Previously, 'Kurup' and 'FIR' were also banned in the country, he wrote.
"The Ministry of Information in Kuwait has banned the use of the hashtag #Beast. The reason could be depiction of Pakistan, terrorists, or violence. #Kuwait recently banned the Indian films #Kurup and #FIR. In comparison to other countries in the region, the #Kuwait Censor has recently become very strict in the GCC."

Billed as an action-thriller, 'Beast' is directed by Nelson Dilpakumar and produced by Sun Pictures.
For starters, the film, which stars Pooja Hegde in the lead, is set to release on April 13 and will compete in theaters with South actor Yash's 'KGF Chapter 2', which releases the next day.
