Samsung Tizen Store platform is no longer available on Tizen phones. No one will be able to download or update apps from the store after December 31. For those who still use Tizen smartphones, this is a significant loss. Samsung stopped allowing new customers to access Tizen Store and download new apps or games in June. It was only open to existing customers who wanted to install previously downloaded apps, and it is now closed to all users.
If you go to the Tizen Store app or website right now, you'll see an error message on the screen. For all Samsung Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4 devices in all countries, the service has ended. Samsung has already abandoned Tizen smartwatches in favour of Android's Wear OS 3. The Galaxy Watch 4 and all future watches may operate on Wear OS from now on. The most recent Tizen phone was the Samsung Z4, which was introduced in 2017. Because the firm never announced a new smartphone, most of the developers gradually abandoned the platform.
The popular Tizen app ACL was removed from the platform in 2018. It was a popular and necessary app for Tizen users to download popular Android apps. Many programmes were removed from the Tizen Store after that, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Modern Combat, Asphalt 8, Line, and many others. What does this imply for current users? After several years of using Tizen Store, it's time to ditch Samsung Tizen phones in favour of Android, iOS, or Huawei devices.
