Samsung Galaxy A42 5G gets the Android 12 update at Verizon USA and South Korea

Users of the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G can now download the latest Android 12-based One UI 4.0 software update from Verizon in the United States. Verizon made the big announcement on its official website. Users in South Korea can also get this update.

Samsung began gradually rolling out the latest One UI 4.0 update for Galaxy models such as the S20 FE LTE, S20 LTE, S20 FE 5G, and A52s 5G in December. They're now using it for other devices as well. As previously stated, the latest software update is now available for Verizon-locked units in the United States and South Korea. As a result, it will take some time for US unlocked units as well as global units to arrive.

Android 12 update

According to the Verizon website, the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update comes with the latest firmware version A426USQU3BUL8. The security patch level will be until December 2021. Once users have installed the latest Android 12 One UI 4.0, they will be able to fix some of the previous bugs and vulnerabilities. Below is the installation guidance for the software update

As mentioned in the Verizon website, the latest update brings improvements in several aspects such as color themes, dynamic wallpapers, emoji creator, grammar improvements, improved privacy dashboard, camera/microphone indicators, video collage, driving monitor, redesigned done widgets etc.
