OPPO Find X5 Pro may be the first to feature Dimensity 9000 SoC

The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC is slated to ship in the first half of 2022 and will be found in forthcoming Redmi and OPPO devices, as we reported earlier this week. Now, a fresh rumour claims to have discovered a more definite launch date for the SoC, as well as the first smartphone to have the Dimensity 9000 processor.

According to a rumour from ITHome, MediaTek will release their flagship Dimensity 9000 SoC sometime in February or March. The new SoC is expected to make its debut in OPPO future flagship handset.

Previous reports claimed that OPPO is working on its next flagship, nicknamed the Find X4 Pro; however, due to the number 4 being considered unlucky in China, the future flagship may be dubbed the OPPO Find X5 Pro.
