We've been hearing about the K50 series from Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi for a few months now, and while there's no word yet on its launch from the company, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station says that the Redmi K50 lineup is officially on has been determined. At the end of February 2022. This is hardly a surprise as the K40 series was unveiled during the same period this year.
The tipster also claims that like the K40 lineup, the Redmi K50 series will include four models, which may be named K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+ and K50 Gaming.

The Redmi K50 Pro+ is expected to be powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, while the K50 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 870 chip. On the other hand, the vanilla K50 and K50 Gaming are expected to come with Dimensity 7000 and Dimension 9000 respectively.
The Redmi K50 series phones are said to run MIUI 13 out of the box and bring back the in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi K50 Gaming is rumored to ship with a 64MP primary camera and a 5,000mAh battery, while the K50 Pro+ is said to sport a 108MP primary camera connected to a periscope telephoto unit.
We've also heard rumors of the Redmi K50 series coming with 100W charging and IP68 dust and water resistance, but don't expect these features on all four models.
